Kerr Electro Melt Furnace

Description

750 watt jeweler's furnace, manufactured by Sybron/Kerr of Michigan. This item is  in working condition. The furnace can achieve a wide range of temperatures, from 530 to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. For those unfamiliar with this model of furnace, the thermocouple is designed to cycle on and off as a function of temperature setting (slow cycles at low temperatures, faster cycles at higher temperatures, and constant "on" at 2000 degrees). The graphite crucibles can hold 30 troy oz of gold, 25 troy oz of silver, 1.5 lbs of brass, or 8 ounces of aluminium. This unit is ideal for small-batch jewelry work, or persons interested in metallurgy.
